I'm moving on!!!!!

I hate war. I hate any kind of confrontations. I definitely do not like to see people getting angry. However, when I got really upset, I quietly became angry and shared my anger with my fellow friends.

Today, I decided to face the problem by talking to each and every staff, one by one.

All things sorted and what's been bugging me was settled with diplomacy. I gave them space to voice out their opinion too. I did a lot of sharing. Sharing about what i've been through and how I feel about the things and why I am still running the centre.

I clearly told them, whatever I'm doing for the centre is to keep a happy and conducive environment for the students. Everything is for the students. Bickering and unhappiness would only make the surrounding gloom and dark and not approachable.

I'm very happy to say that we're all back to being happy again. Everyone now know their roles in the centre, and it makes me easier to run the business.

I told them, next year, we have to work harder to get our students to become more independent and we have to work harder to motivate them.

Independent Learning

I was so inspired after my two Japanese Sensei's visit. I brought them to one of Malaysia's top centre in Bandar Sri Damansara. Now I have a new vision for my higher level students.
I made changes at the centre by moving a few tables to the always quiet English area. Now, I'm guiding both English and Higher level Maths students.

Being upset

Lately I've been bugged by an internal problem. Internal as in within the centre. I found out that my staff have not been too happy with each other. It all started with an ex staff, making an appearing act again.

I've been blessed with capable staff, but not always. One of my long serving staff has even become an instructor herself. I am very proud of that fact. However, I believe I'm not the reason why she became one. I don't think I have inspired her enough to open one. I'm not being modest but that's the fact.

Years ago, before she left, she had wanted to become a salon owner. It didn't work out for her, and had asked for a job back from me. I have nothing against her personally but I just had bad experiences with taking ex staff back. In saying that, I did...this year...and beginning to feel the heat!

Last week, when I had my special guests, I didn't feel too good about leaving my centre somehow. Lucky enough for me, both instructors were so understanding and decided to have their private time shopping. When I reached the centre, I discovered that my ex staff turned instructor had been there all along. I was never informed of her visit.I managed to have a talk with her.....but now, at the centre, I don't feel "her friends" were happy about my actions. I am though!! I had to do what I had to do!

I just pray that there'll not be any kind of riot in my centre. Enough chaos in Kuala Lumpur last weekend!!!

Sensei

Two of my instructor friends from Japan came to Malaysia last week. I had a very interesting 2 days with them. I was just proud to show off Kuala Lumpur to my foreign friends.
I was left so inspired. Both Sensei had over 20 years of experience and to see how energetic they were made me want to go on and on and be like them one day. I believe working with children will always keep a person upbeat about life. Working with them and having to take care of them are two different things.
I do wish to see both of them again one day.

UPSR

12 out of 15 of my students got A for their Maths. I'm happy. The rest got B.

That's all parents talked about last week. Actually, I sent messages to parents to find out and they were kind enough to reply.

The first result was from my dearest nephew. He stopped by right after school. Even though he didn't get straight As, he was happy enough and proud enough to come up to the centre to inform me that he managed to score As in Maths and English.

Loking Forward....

High Achievers' Camp will be on the 12th, 13th and 14th of December. I've never participated in a camp before in my life...I never had the opportunity to. As a teenager, I always dreamt of being sent off to summer camps.

So, next month, I'll be experiencing it...at the age of 36!!!! I'll savour every moment. I'll even imagine I'm still a teenager.

Will be writing about it next month.

My International Racer!

Jazeman will be world famous one day. We knew that years ago when he first joined us. He has been travelling and pursuing his dreams in becoming an F1 car driver, and recently, after hooking up through FACEBOOK, he decided to visit us at the centre.

He spent about 15 mins walking around the centre and talking to some of the students.

Recently he won the BMW series in Zhuhai, China. Even though the race was full of controversy, in our (Malaysian) eyes, he's still the winner.

Talk about stylish

Towards end of the year, children come in colourful at times. They have concerts, parties and gatherings. Shaun was in a play and had purple hair. He came in last week and had all the little ones asking him about it.
Yesterday, one of them asked him what had happened to his purple hair!!!!
